The degasser is turned off. Turn the degasser on. The degasser of an SRD-3x00

connected to the pump does

A first generation SRD-3x00
Solvent Rack is connected to the
pump. Contact Dionex Service.
The system has very high
backpressure. One or more capillaries in the
system are blocked or damaged
by bending. Check the capillaries in the
system, remove the blockage,
or replace the capillaries.
Depending on the pump type:
The static mixer or inline filter is
blocked.
Replace the static mixer

page 147) or inline filter
(

page 149 or 150). With an
LPG-3400BM and DGP-
3600BM, you can replace the
filter frit in the inline filter
(

page 151).
The column is contaminated or
blocked. Rinse or replace the column.
High baseline drift The column is contaminated. Clean or replace the column.
The system is not sufficiently
equilibrated. Flush the system until
equilibration.
The solvent is degraded. Use fresh solvent and check
the eluent filter frits. In
aqueous solvents, growth of
microorganisms is possible.
The environmental conditions are
unstable. Make sure that the
temperature and the humidity
are constant. Avoid draft.
The detector has not yet reached
the operating temperature. Allow the full detector warm-
up time.
The solvent is delivered in
circles. Direct the solvent to waste.
Use fresh solvents.
The flow cell is dirty. Clean the flow cell. Replace
the flow cell if necessary

The lamp is too old. Replace the detector lamp

High noise level, pulsation There are pressure fluctuations
from the pump.
Purge the pump (

There are air bubbles in the
