Instrument and Maintenance Indicator 1-88 

user magnetic card power is low.   

7.  ABS System Warning Light   

This light will be turned on when the 
START button 

is at ―ON‖.   

If anti-lock braking system operates 
normally, this light will go out after a 
few seconds. After that, this light will 
be turned on again if there is any 
system fault.   

Anti-lock braking system will not 
operate when ABS system warning 
light is turned on (braking system 
warning light goes out), but the 
braking system will still operate 
normally.   

When ABS system warning light is 
turned on (braking system warning 
light goes out), because anti-lock 
braking system does not operate, the 
wheels will be locked when braking in 
emergency or in the slippery road. 

If any one of the following cases takes 
place, it means that there is a fault in 
the parts monitored by the warning 
light system, and Please contact BYD 
authorized service station to inspect 

the vehicle as soon as possible. 

 

This light will not be on or 
continue illuminating when the 
START button 

is at ―ON‖.   

 

This light is turned on during 
driving. 

Temporary illumination of the warning 
light during operation does not mean 
any fault.   

FRIENDLY TIPS

 

 

If ―ABS‖ system warning light 
still is turned on when the 
braking system warning light is 
turned on, Please park the car in 
a safe place and contact BYD 
authorized service station.   

 

When braking in this occasion, 
not only anti-lock braking 
system does not work, but also 
the vehicle becomes extremely 
unstable.   

 
8.  SVS Warning Light   

Press the START button. When the 
power position is placed at ―ON‖, this 
light will go out after being turned on 
for a few seconds. 

If the indicator is turned on or blinks at 
other moment, it means fault exists in 
the automatic transmission or engine 
management system.   

If this case occurs, the vehicle shall 
be sent to BYD authorized service 
station for inspection.   

9.  Door-open Warning Light   

This light will keep illuminating until all 
the car doors are completely closed.   

10.  SRS Warning Light   

This light will be turned on when the 
START button 

is at ―ON‖. This light 

goes out about 5 seconds later. It 
means that the airbag system 
operates normally.   

Warning light system is used to 
monitor airbag ECU, crash sensor, 
inflation mechanism, warning light, 
wiring and power supply.   

If any of the following cases occurs, it 
means that there is a fault somewhere 
in the parts monitored by the warning 
light system. Please contact BYD 
authorized service station to inspect 
the vehicle as soon as possible.
