The figure above shows the detection
range of sensors. The detection range
is limited, you should check the
surrounding conditions before
reversing the vehicle.
Detection information of sensors
Some vehicle conditions and
surrounding environment might
influence the obstacle detection
performance of sensors.
Specific influences possible are listed
below:
● There is dirt, water or fog on the
sensor;
● There is snow on the sensor or the
sensor is frozen;
● Sensor is covered by something;
● The vehicle obviously inclines, or
gets overloaded;
● Especially on rough road, slope,
graveled road or grass;
● The sensors are repainted;
● It is noisy near the vehicle due to
the horn, motorcycle engine sound,
noise generated by air brake of large
vehicles or other ultrasonic noise;
● There is another vehicle with
parking aid system nearby;
● The vehicle is equipped with
traction ring;
● The bumper or sensor undergoes
severe impact;
● The vehicle is approaching to a
higher or circuitous curb;
● In the scorching sun or cold
weather;
● Have a non-original suspension
installed which has a poor
performance.
In addition to the above cases,
sensors can‘t detect the actual
distance due to the shape of the
objects. The shape and material of
obstacles may interfere with the
detection.
Pay special attention to the following
obstacles:
● Wire, fence and rope;
●
Cotton, snow and other materials
that absorb radio waves;
● Objects that have sharp edges;
● Short obstacles;
● The high obstacles which upper part
reaches out to your vehicle;
● The objects under the bumper;
● The objects near the vehicle;
● Persons near the vehicle (according
to the type of their dressing).
If the DVD displays image or the
buzzer sounds, it suggests the
sensors may find some obstacles, or
the environment interferes with the
sensors.
If this phenomenon persists, please
go to BYD authorized service station
for repair.
