these changes will make the
system lose efficacy or the gas
curtain deploy unexpectedly and
cause serious injury or even
death.

All airbag operations, including
disassembly and assembly of
the system components for
maintenance of other parts
(such as dismantling the
steering wheel) shall only be
performed by the BYD
authorized service station.

All components of the airbag
system include corresponding
labels are forbidden to change.

The airbag system must be
replaced within 10 years from the
date of production (the
production date is indicated on
vehicle certification and service
manual) by the BYD authorized
service station. If some part of
the airbag system has ever been
replaced before the date, the
relevant record should be
traceable in the service manual.

The airbag can perform the
function of accident protection
only once. Once the airbag is
triggered or damaged, replace it
with a new one.

When transferring a car, please
deliver all materials about the
vehicle to the new owner at the
same time. Please note that, if
the airbag is closed, please
deliver this information to the new
owner as well.

When declaring the worthless of
the parts of vehicle or airbag
system, please comply with the
related safety regulations and
scraping procedure. The BYD
authorized service station is
familiar with these regulations,
and the scraping procedure is
detailed in service manual.

The airbag system has strong
capacity of anti-interference and
anti-disturbance toward
surrounding electromagnetic
interference and electromagnetic
disturbance. In order to avoid
accident, please drive the car
only in the electromagnetic
environment permitted by
national regulation.

The airbag system of BYD Suri
has already taken the misuses
and road condition which are
common in our country into full
consideration, while in order to
avoid any accident, please not
allow serious collision to car
bottom, or drive the car on bad
road aggressively.
Other Matters
● Read this manual carefully, if you
want to transfer or dismantle the car,
please inform the new owner or the
company dismantling the car that your
car is equipped with airbag system
and advise them to read this manual
carefully.
● When the airbag system functions,
avoid to contact the airbag modules
directly (as it will burn you or make
you uncomfortable), the car
dismantlement should be done by the
BYD authorized service station. Once
the airbag system takes effect,
replace it with a new one in time.
● The front (side) airbag system will
take effect only when serious frontal
(lateral) collision happens. The failure
