Wheel balance has been made before
the car leaves the factory. However,
sometimes, it is also required to
rebalance the wheels before tires
wear.
It is recommended to dynamically
rebalance the tires every 6,000 km. If
a continuous shock is felt when
driving at a high speed (80 km/h) but it
will not happen when slowing down,
come to BYD authorized service
station to check the tires.
If a tire was once repaired, tire
balance must be remade.
For new tire installation or wheel
replacement, tire balance must be
made by the installer.
NOTICE
 Improper wheel balance weight
will be fixed unstably or come
off. This might cause damage to
your car or surrounding objects
during driving.
 Improper wheel balance weight
will damage the aluminum alloy
wheels of your car. Therefore,
you can only use the wheel
balance weight made by BYD to
balance your car.
Tire change
To prolong the service life of tires and
ensure that the tires wear evenly, tire
change shall be conducted every
6000 km's mileage.
If the vehicle tire is a temporary spare
tire, tire change shall be conducted as
is shown in the figure above. The
figure above indicates the methods of
changing the position of the tire for the
vehicle not provided with standard
spare tire.
When purchasing and replacing tires,
you may find some tires are
―directional‖, it means that the tire is
designed to be adjusted in only one
direction. If directional tires are used,
in the case of tire change, the only
method is to exchange the front and
rear wheels, as is shown in the figure
above.
If the spare tire of the wheels is a
full-size spare tire, refer to the figure
on the right for tire change.
If the spare tire rim is different from
the current tire rim, no tire change is
recommended.
