Parking Brake 1-96
VIII. Failure Release Function
If failure occurs when manually
releasing EPB according to the fourth
step, please continuously press
switch for more than two seconds.If
EPB can be released, please drive
the car to the nearest repair center as
soon as possible to check the switch
signal of brake pedal as well as
relevant parts and lines; if EPB still
cannot be released, please contact
repair center immediately.
EPB System Indicator Light
 If EPB is in pull-up state when
the ignition switch is turned on,
indicator light on the
instrument lights up.
 If EPB is in pull-up state when
the ignition switch is turned off,
indicator light on the
instrument goes out about 30
seconds later.

When the ignition switch is
turned on, EPB conducts
self-checking, and indicator light
on the instrument goes out
about 3 seconds later after
lighting up; if indicator light does
not go out, it means faults may
occur in EPB. Please contact
repair center.
EPB Working Voice
In the process of pull-up or release,
the driver would hear working voice of
the EPB motor.
After emergency brake, if a smell of
burning can be smelled or abnormal
noise can be heard, please contact
repair center immediately.
WARNING

To avoid sliding from a slope, do
not park the car with gear shift
mechanism instead of EPB
when leaving the car; EPB shall
be used to park the car at P.

When the car is running,
passengers are prohibited to
operate EPB switch; if EPB is
fully released, severe accidents
may be caused.

When EPB is pulled up or
released, please try to step on
the brake pedal to avoid
problems such as slipping and
stuck gear caused therefrom
when EPB can not provide
enough parking force.
