Connection for jump start of 
engine 

When performing jump start of engine, 
do not put connecting cable close to 
any running engine components. 

FRIENDLY TIPS

 

While connecting, in order to avoid 
severe personal injury, do not lean 
against the battery, or make jumper 
cable or clamp contact any other 
object except correct terminals of 
battery or ground point. 

 
5. Start engine in normal way. After 
starting, gently step on accelerator 
pedal and keep engine running at a 
rotational speed of 2,000rpm 
(round/minute) for several minutes. 

6. Carefully remove cable as per a 
reverse procedure: remove cable of 
negative pole firstly and then remove 
cable of positive pole. 

7. Carefully remove the cloth covered 
on battery

——the cloth may be 

stained with sulfuric acid. 

8. In order to move, all orifice plugs of 
storage batteries shall be plugged in 
situ. 

If discharging reason of battery is not 
clear (for example, lamp remains on), 
then the battery shall be inspected by 
BYD authorized service station.
