Airbags for Driver and Front
Passenger

Airbags belong to supplemental
restraint system (Supplemental
Restraint System, namely, SRS),

SRS is a supplement to seat belt; this
airbag system can provide extra
protection for head and chest of driver
and passengers, reducing casualties.

Airbag system cannot take the place
of seat belts; it is a part of entire
PASSIVE-SAFE Protection System of
vehicle.

Please note that protection of airbag
system can be maximized only by
working along with fastened seat

belts.

Therefore, for your safety and your
family members‘ safety, please pay
special attention to ‗Notices‘ and
‗Friendly Tips‘ of this part.

FRIENDLY TIPS



Please use seat belts all the
time when the vehicle is in
motion.



Please maintain a correct sitting
posture, thus maximum
protection of seat belts and
airbag system can be exerted.



For child, rear seats are the
safest position.



Disassembling and assembling
the components of airbag
system without permission is
prohibited.

Trigger conditions for airbags

Designed trigger conditions for
airbags are as follows: when severe
frontal (side) crash occurs, airbag
system will be triggered; in the event
of special crash, airbag system may
be triggered.

In the event of minor frontal crash, or
rear crash, or rollover, airbag system
is usually not triggered. Under the
circumstances, driver is protected in
the normal way of fastening seat belt.

Decisive factor for triggering airbag
system is: conduct a comprehensive
intelligent comparison and judgment
between deceleration curve, which is
generated in the event of crash and is
obtained by Electronic Control Unit
(ECU), and set value. If the
deceleration which is generated and
detected in the event of crash is less
than the relevant reference value
preset in ECU, airbags won‘t be
triggered, even if the vehicle has
already been out of shape.

When setting ECU used for BYD
AUTO airbag system, all kinds of
common misuses and road conditions
have been fully taken into account.
Since causes and types of crash
accidents vary, for your safety, please
correctly use vehicle in compliance
with manual strictly, avoid misuses;
otherwise, expected effect of airbags
cannot be achieved.
