Keys  and  Doors  1-17 

Save Battery Power 

Even if the car is not driven, the key 
and the car communicate with each 
other. Therefore, don‘t leave the key 
near the car (within 2 m). 

If the car has been not in use for a 
long time, please disconnect cathode 
terminal of the storage battery to 
prevent running out of power. 

In order to active the smart entry 
and smart start system again, 
please use any of the following 
operation method: 

a. 

Press the micro switch of the 
front outside car door handle 
when you carry an electronic 
smart key with you. 

b. 

Perform wireless remote control. 

c. 

Insert the mechanical key into 
the driver‘s door keyhole and 
then rotate it. 

If the smart key receives strong 
electromagnetic waves for a long time, 
battery power might run out rapidly. 
The smart key must be kept at a 
minimum distance of 1m away from 

the following appliances.

 

  Television 

  Personal computer 

  Wireless phone charger 

  Electrolier 

  Fluorescent lamp 

  WARNING

 

Alteration and refitting without 

consent by an authorized 
organization might cause some 
equipment not to work correctly. 

If the smart entry and starting 
system fails to operate normally 
due to a fault, please contact a BYD 
authorized service station. Be sure 
to take all the smart keys with you. 
They might be required for a 
system repair.
