Maintenance7-15 

 

3. Push the plates on both sides of the 
right storage compartment to lift the 
glove box. 

4. Press the tongue on the box 
housing corner of the dust and pollen 
filter. Pull out the box housing. 

 

5. Remove the old filter from the box 
housing. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6. Install a new filter in the box 

housing. BYD ―LOGO‖ on the box 
housing shall be placed facing 
upwards.   

7. Install the box housing. Make sure 
the two tongues are perfectly 
engaged.   

8. Install the clasp of the right storage 
compartment and close the right 
storage compartment.   

If you are uncertain whether you can 
replace the dust and pollen filter by 
yourself, please contact BYD 
authorized service station for 
assistance. 

Transmission Belt 

Check the transmission belt to see 
whether there is any crack or wear in 
each transmission belt edge. 

 

Using the Tension Meter   

1. Check the tension of the 
transmission belt.   

2. Put a belt tension meter in the 
middle part of the belt between the 
belt pulleys (as the arrow shows) to 
measure and confirm that the belt 
tension is within the standard value.   
Standard value: 340-562 N
