Emergency handling4-11 

shall be installed as soon as possible. 

10. Store all tools, jack and flat tire 
properly.

 

After replacing tire, wheel nuts shall 
be screwed down with a torque 
wrench to a specified torque value as 
soon as possible and the flat tire shall 
be repaired by a technician. 

FRIENDLY TIPS

 

Before driving, confirm that all tools, 
jack and flat tire are all fixed at 
storage positions so as to reduce risk 
of personal injury in case of crash or 
emergency braking. 

Emergency towing 

If the vehicle shall be towed, contact a 
professional towing service 
department or a roadside assistance 
service organization that you joined. 

Never tow your vehicle with only a 
rope or an iron chain, which is very 
dangerous. 

There are three common methods for 
towing vehicle:   

1. Flat-plate device

—operator will 

load your vehicle on a truck. This is 
the best way to transport your vehicle. 

2. Wheel-lifting device

—tow tractor 

inserts two support arms under tire 
(front tire or rear tire) to support wheel 
off ground and other two wheels 
remain on the ground, which is a 
feasible way to tow your vehicle. 

FRIENDLY TIPS

 

If your vehicle cannot be transported 
by flat-plate device, then it shall be 
towed by using wheel-lifting device. 
If damage causes only front wheels 
can be on the ground when towing 
your vehicle, observe the following 
rules:   

 

Manual transmission: 
1. Release hand brake. 
2. Shift transmission to neutral 
position. 
3. Set START button 

at ‗Start up‘ 

to prevent steering wheel from 
being locked up. 

 

Automatic transmission: 
1. Release hand brake. 
2. Star the engine. 
3. Shift to position D and then to 
position N. 

4. Shut off the engine. 
5. Set START button 

to ‗Start up‘ 

to prevent steering wheel from 
being locked up.   

 
3. If a towing company cannot be 
found in the event of emergency fault, 
towing hook can be used to tow the 
vehicle. There is a decorating closure 
on bumper bar that is under right 
headlamp. Take the closure down, 
take towing hook out of tool box and 
screw it in fitting seat for towing hook 
and screw it up and use dedicated 
tow rope. When towing vehicle, be 
careful to drive. When performing 
emergency towing on CVT vehicle, 
gear shall be at position N and the 
engine shall be started. Only when 
the engine runs, oil pump of 
transmission can provide oil pressure 
and driving belt can run, otherwise 
driving belt will be damaged. 

Driver shall sit in the vehicle that is 
towed to drive the vehicle and 
control the brake.
