Emergency handling4-6 

FRIENDLY TIPS

 

When engine and radiator are in high 
temperature state, radiator cap shall 
not be removed as spurted steam and 
liquid with high temperature under 
pressure will cause severe personal 
injury. 
 
6. After engine coolant declines to 
normal temperature, check coolant 
level in auxiliary radiator again. If 
necessary, add coolant to a proper 
scale. Severe coolant loss indicates 
there is leakage in system. Inform 
BYD authorized service station of this 
situation immediately for inspection. 

If tire is flat

 

 

Lower car speed slowly and 
keep driving straight. Drive 
vehicle off road carefully to a 
safe place where is far from 
heavy traffic. Avoid parking the 
vehicle on central turnout of 
freeway. Park vehicle on solid 
and flat ground. 

 

Shut off engine and turn on 
emergency flashers. 

 

Engage parking brake and set 
transmission at neutral position. 

 

All passengers in the vehicle 
shall get off the vehicle and go to 
a place far from traffic. 

 

Read the following instructions 
in detail. 

FRIENDLY TIPS

 

When vehicle is supported by jack, 
in order to reduce risk of severe 
personal injury, the following items 
shall be observed: 

 

Observe instructions for jacking 
up of a jack. 

 

Do not expose any part of your 
body under vehicle jacked up by 
jack. This may cause personal 
injury. Engine shall not be 
started or run when vehicle is 
jacked up by jack. 

 

Park vehicle on flat and solid 
ground, tightly pull parking brake 
and set transmission at neutral 
position. If necessary, a stopper 
shall be placed under tire which 
is in the diagonal direction of tire 
replaced. 

 

Confirm that jack is set at 

correct jack-up point. If position 
of jack is not correct and vehicle 
is jacked up by the jack, the 
vehicle may be damaged or may 
fall off jack and cause personal 
injury. 

 

When vehicle is supported only 
by jack, nobody is allowed to 
enter under the vehicle. 

 

Vehicle shall be lifted by jack 
only when tire is replaced. 

 

If there is passenger in vehicle, 
lifting vehicle up is prohibited. 

 

When lifting vehicle, do not 
place any object on or below 
jack. 

 

Vehicle shall be only lifted to a 
height at which tire can be 
removed and replaced. 

 

NOTICE

 

Do not drive when the tire is flat, even 
if a short distance will also cause tire 
to be damaged and cannot be 
repaired.
