Maintenance7-7 

Clean the spilled oil as it will damage 
the parts of engine cabin. 

Use the original manual transmission 
oil (MTF) of BYD Company all the 
time. 

 

This figure shows the location of oil fill 
plug 

Replace the transmission oil 
according to the running time and 
mileage listed in the regular 
maintenance schedule. 

Discharge the oil in transmission 
completely, and refuel new 
transmission oil into it. 

If you have no idea of how to check 

the oil level and add the oil, please 
contact BYD authorized service 
station.

Brake Fluid and Clutch Fluid   

Check the level of liquid storage tank 
once every month. There are 
altogether two liquid storage tanks, 
which can be distinguished by type:   

1. Storage tank of brake fluid (for all 
models) 

2. Storage tank for the clutch fluid (for 
manual transmission)   

Brake fluid shall be replaced 
according to the driving time and 
mileage listed in the regular 
maintenance schedule. 

 

Please make sure to only use the 
brake fluid made by BYD or 
equivalent products stored in 
closed containers marked with 
DOT 3 or DOT 4. 

Brake fluid marked with DOT 5 is 
not applicable to the braking 
system of the car, and brake fluid 
with different types can’t be mixed 
to use.
