Analyzing and Processing RiverSurveyor Data
This section describes the analysis and processing of data files collected using the
RiverSurveyor
program. Collection of these data files was described in the previous section (§

in

•
Viewing and Analyzing the Data Set
7.7.1. Data Analysis Overview
The analysis of a data file typically takes place in the office after measurements have been made
in the field. However, the
RiverSurveyor
program is designed to operate in both the data collec-
tion and analysis modes simultaneously. That is, RiverSurveyor can record data into one file
while analysis is being done on a second file.

To load a RiverSurveyor ADP data file (
.adp
) for analysis and/or post-processing, use the fol-
lowing steps as a guideline:

the
RiverSurveyor

). The
program should initialize to the startup screen (
2. To open a data file, do one of the following:

Note
: When you first create a data file, or if you move the file to a different folder,
we recommend you use a descriptive folder rather than the default of
c:\SonData

For example:
c:\SonData\RiverSurveyor\Colorado River\2003-03-05
.
3. On opening the file,
RiverSurveyor
will display the
