7.2.1. Title Bar, Menu Bar, and Toolbars
•
The
Title Bar
identifies the file to which data is being recorded or from which data is being
displayed.
•
The
Menu Bar
allows you to select from a menu of program features. Clicking a Main Menu
item usually displays a submenu. See §
for a description of each menu item.
•
The
Toolbars
contain shortcuts to many of the most-used menu items. Clicking a toolbar
icon performs the same function as its related menu item. Each toolbar can be “detached”
and repositioned to a different area on the screen – just click-and-drag the vertical bar on the
left side of the toolbar. See §
for toolbar descriptions.
7.2.2. Tabular Data Displays
The

There are three controls (i.e., buttons) contained in the title bar of
each tabular display data group:
•
Parameter Selector – The first button (starting on the left) is
for selecting the parameters that will be visible in the se-
lected data group. This control lets you customize the pa-
rameters displayed. The changes will be automatically saved
and restored the next time you start
RiverSurveyor
.
•
Roll-Up/Roll-Down – The second button is used to show or
hide the selected display group. By default all categories are
“rolled-down” (shown). Rolling up/down the group can also
be done using the hot key
Ctrl+#
, where
#
is the number
shown in the title bar of the data display. For example, press-
ing
Ctrl+2
will roll up/down the
Discharge Data
display.
•
Close – The third button (X) is used to hide the entire data
display group. If a group has been hidden, you can redisplay
it by selecting the appropriate group in the
View|Data Dis-
play|Show xxx Data
menu.
Each parameter’s field name can be clicked to show help informa-
tion related to the parameter.
