•
Copy
– Lets you copy the summary data to the clipboard. This is usually done when you
want to transfer the data to a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel.
•
Options
– To show and hide specific fields. By default the
Discharge Summary
dialog shows
all available fields. The
Options
dialog allows you to hide fields so that the
Discharge Sum-
mary
only shows the information of primary interest.
•
File information – The row/column area of the display presents a summary of each data file
that is used in the calculations. Information includes:
- File name
- Data collection start and end dates and times
- Number of profiles collected
- Track, Velocity, and Depth Reference
- Shallow Water Ping On/Off
- Left distance (from left riverbank edge to start or end of transect)
- Measured distance (distance over which the ADP collected data)
- Right distance (from right riverbank to start or end of transect)
- Total distance (Start Di Measured Di End Distance)
- Area (total area of cross-section)
- Mean velocity for the entire cross-section
- Top discharge (estimation of the discharge near the surface)
- Middle discharge (as measured by the ADP)
- Bottom discharge (estimation of the discharge near the bottom)
- Left discharge (estimation of the discharge at the beginning of the transect)
- Right discharge (estimation of the discharge at the end of the transect)
- Total discharge (Top Dis Middle Dis Bottom Dis Left Dis-
Right Discharge).
Export
The
Export
menu lets you send the profile/discharge data for the current data set to an ASCII-
text file. The details of the data formats are described in §
. Options include:
•
Discharge Report
(§
) – Exports the results of single or multiple data files to a single for-
matted data summary report. This report may be customized to meet user requirements. The
file name created uses the recorded data file name (§
.dis
. Ap-
contains a description and example (
) of the discharge data format.
•
Batch Data File Export
(§
) – Sends both discharge measurement and “T” format data
from multiple data files or folders.
•
Export Single Discharge Measurement
(§
) – Sends position, depth, flow, and discharge
data to a labeled and formatted ASCII tabular file. This file is suitable for use in spread-
sheet, modeling, and other data analysis software.
•
Export Single “T” Format Data File
) – Sends comprehensive profile and discharge
data to an ASCII text file. This file is formatted for a seldom-used specification for models
and some data analysis software.
•
Export Raw GPS/Echo Sounder Data
– Exports the raw data that was received from the GPS
and/or Echo Sounder units during data collection.
•
Export FlowPack Exchange File
– Exports a binary data file (
.fpx
extension) for use with
SonTek’s
FlowPack
velocity-indexing software tool used for data storage and reports (see
).
