6.2.1.  What types of mounts are used? 

Mounting the ADP can be a simple or complex task depending on the type of boat used and 
quality of the mount. ADP boat-mounted designs range from a simple assembly of small PVC 
pipes and joints attached to a wood plank, to rugged 2-inch aluminum pipe-and-joint assemblies 
mounted to solid aluminum/wood braces (

Typically, a simple ADP boat mount is based on the dimensions of the boat (e.g.; draft, water-
line, width and stability of the gunnels) along with a few basic mounting requirements.
