7.9. Data Export
There are three types of data export functions available in RiverSurveyor via the
File|Export
menu:
•
Batch Data File Export
•
Export Single Discharge Measurement
•
Export Single “T” Format Data File
7.9.1. Batch Data File Export
This option processes multiple files and outputs all available export data file formats. Currently
the two available data file formats are the Discharge Measurement (§
7.9.2
) and “T” Format
(§
7.9.3
) files.
Selecting the
Batch Data File Export
option
from the
File|Export
menu displays the
Batch
Data File Export
dialog box (
Figure 7-40
). The
controls and features in this box are:
•
Add Files
– Select the files that will be
processed in batch mode. Multiple files
may be selected at one time.
•
Add Folder
– Select an entire data folder
for processing. All RiverSurveyor data
files in the folder will be processed.
•
Remove
– Remove the highlighted file
from the list.
•
Export
– Export all the selected files/folders using the batch export
Settings
.
•
Settings
– View and modify the settings that will be used for processing the data files. This
option displays the
Batch Export Settings
dialog box (
Figure 7-41
) that is described below.
•
Close
– Exit this operation and return to the RiverSurveyor interface.
The
Batch Export Settings
dialog box (
Figure 7-41
) is
used to customize the way the selected data files will be
processed. These settings can simplify the process of ex-
porting large numbers of files using the same settings for
each file. For example, when exporting an entire meas-
urement data set, the velocity and track references should
be the same for all files. By setting the velocity and track
references to fixed values (either Bottom-Track or GPS),
you can ensure these files are all processed in the same
way. The controls and features of this dialog box are:

Velocity Reference
(
Last Settings
,
Bottom-Track
,
GPS
) – This setting defines the velocity reference to
use when processing the files. The
Last Settings
op-
tion uses the velocity reference that was last used
when the file was manually processed.
