In the
Configuration Manager
dialog box (
Figure 6-8
), type in a name for this configuration
in the
Save Current Configuration
field.

Click
Save
. The
Configuration Manager
will only save valid system configurations.
To load an existing configuration:
•
Click
Configuration Manager
.
•
Select the name of the configuration you want to load.
•
Click
Load Configuration
or double-click the configuration name. The configuration will be
loaded, and the settings will be updated in the
User Setup
dialog box.
6.6.17. Accept or Reject User Setup Parameters
The final step in the
User Setup
process is to click
OK
to confirm your settings. RiverSurveyor
will check the validity of your entries, and then transfer the settings to the ADP. A message will
be displayed beneath fields that contain invalid entries.
A
Warnings
dialog box (
Figure 6-9
) will be displayed if any input variable is in question. In the
example shown here, the
Magnetic Declination
is currently set to zero. This is most likely be-
cause the user has forgotten to enter a value. This value should be set to the magnetic declination
for the area being surveyed to avoid any confusion related to GPS and compass corrections.
The system is now ready to start data collection. Make sure you correct any invalid settings. See
§
7.5
for an example of how to collect data with the RiverSurveyor system.
If you click
Cancel
to exit
User Setup
, your settings will not be updated.
