The
Waypoints
dialog box (
Figure 7-33
) shows a list of the active waypoints/markers/hazards,
their latitude/longitude, and any comments.
•
To add a waypoint, click
Add WP
, and then enter its identifying information (name, type,
latitude, longitude, comments). Note that latitude and longitude must be in decimal degrees.
•
To edit an existing waypoint, highlight its name, and then make the appropriate changes.
•
To delete a waypoint, highlight its name, and then click
Delete WP
.
•
Sets of waypoints can be saved and recalled using the
Save
and
Load
buttons respectively.
The
Track Window
and mouse can also be used to add, delete, or modify existing waypoints.
•
To add a waypoint or navigational feature to the
Track Window
:
- Click
Add Waypoints
on the
Controls
toolbar.
- A menu will be displayed. Select one of the options:
Waypoint
,
Marker
,
Hazard
, or
Cancel
. Select
Cancel
to disable the addition of any waypoints
or navigational features.
- Now left click in the
Track Window
at the desired location.
•
To delete a waypoint or navigational feature:
- Right-click on the waypoint symbol in the
Track Window
. A pop-up menu will appear.
- Select the
Delete
option.
•
To change the name or comments associated with a waypoint or navigational feature:
- Right-click on the waypoint symbol in the
Track Window
. A pop-up menu will appear.
- As appropriate, select either
Change Name
or
Change Comments
.
- Enter the appropriate text in the dialog box and click
OK
.
•
To move the location of a waypoint or navigational feature in the
Track Window
:
- Left-click on the appropriate waypoint symbol and hold down the mouse button.
- Drag the waypoint to its new location and release the mouse button.
