7.1.1.  What is the RiverSurveyor software program? 

The 

RiverSurveyor

 program is a Windows-based interface that allows you to collect data from 

your ADP and other sensors (such as GPS and echo sounder), display this data, store it in a file, 
and analyze/post-process the data. The data file can then be reloaded at a later time to analyze 
the data and evaluate the quality of the measurement. 

Figure 7-1

 shows a picture of the primary 

RiverSurveyor

 screen. 

7.1.2.  How do I use the RiverSurveyor program? 

The 

RiverSurveyor

 program is provided on CD-ROM with every RiverSurveyor system. We will 

assume you have already installed this program on your computer (§

1.3

). A detailed description 

of 

RiverSurveyor

 and its operation can be found in Sections 

7.2

 through 

7.7

 of this manual.
