Communication Protocols
DNP Signals (Output States)
Some signals (that are for a short time active only) have to be acknowledged
separately (e.g. Trip signals) by the Communication System.
Signal
Description
busy
This message is set if the protocol is started. It will be reset if the protocol
is shut down.
ready
The message will be set if the protocol is successfully started and ready for
data exchange.
active
The communication with the Master (SCADA) is active.
Note that for TCP/UDP, this state is permanently “Low” unless »DataLink
confirm« is set to “Always”.

the protective device.
