Microcontroller subsystem overview

The architecture of the microcontroller subsystem is illustrated in Figure 
12-1.

The illustration above shows scope of the microcontroller subsystem’s role. 
The microcontroller incorporates on-chip non-volatile storage and is 
factory programmed with dedicated system management software.
