1D-28 Engine Mechanical:
• Fit a new gasket (1) and install the cam chain tension
adjuster.
CAUTION
!
Use the new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Tighten the cam chain tension adjuster mounting bolts
to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Cam chain tension adjuster mounting bolt (a): 10
N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lbf-ft)
• Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise with a (–)
screw driver until the push rod unlocked.
• Fit a new gasket (2).
CAUTION
!
Use the new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Tighten the cam chain tension adjuster cap bolt to the
specified torque.
Tightening torque
Cam chain tension adjuster cap bolt (b): 8 N·m (
0.8 kgf-m, 6.0 lbf-ft)
• Be sure to check the valve clearance. Refer to “Valve
Clearance Inspection and Adjustment: in Section
0B”
.
• Fit a new gasket (3).
CAUTION
!
Use the new gasket to prevent oil leakage.
• Tighten the TDC plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
TDC plug (c): 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lbf-ft)
Engine Mounting Dumper Stopper
• When installing the engine mounting dumper stopper
(1), keep that the clearance are equal.
