system while it is still hot. Service should be performed af-
ter system cools down.

REMOVAL

1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Disconnect heated oxygen sensor-1 coupler and detach it from

its stay.

3) Remove upper cover of exhaust manifold.

4) Remove exhaust manifold stiffener if equipped.
