Install PCIe2 Cards Into Slots 4 and 5

Install PCIe2 Cards Into Slots 4 and 5

1.

Prepare the server for service.

See 

“Preparing the Server for Component Replacement” on page 75

.

2.

With the PCI mezzanine installed and cabled, determine which slot to install the

card.

3.

Remove the replacement card from its packaging and place it onto an antistatic

mat.

4.

If a filler panel is installed, remove it by pulling the tab.

Note - 

Save this filler panel in case you ever need to remove the PCIe2 card from the system.

5.

Lower the card into position on the PCI mezzanine, then slide the card to the

right to seat it into the connector.

6.

If required by your PCIe2 card, connect any internal cable to the card.
