Day Light Saving Time (DST)
Daylight Saving Time (DST) is the practice of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and
mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of Spring and are adjusted
backward in Autumn.
When NAVAN is installed in a country/ region where DST is used, it is necessary to synchronize the Real Time
Clock of NAVAN with the local time.
So, if you are installing NAVAN in a country where DST is used, find out the DST convention currently in use in that
country, and adjust DST accordingly.
To do this,
1.
Click the Regional Settings tab.

On the left navigation bar, click the Date and Time link.
3.
On this page, click Daylight Saving Time (DST) to expand.
4.
Select the required DST Type for the selected Region either as Disable , Manual or Scheduled .
• If DST is not to be observed in the selected Region; by default, the system displays the DST as
Disable for that Region.
• If you want to schedule a DST for the selected Region, select Manual .
• If you want to observe the DST automatically as per the configured DST conventions for the selected
Region/Country where your system is installed, select
Scheduled .

If you select Manual , configure the following DST conventions as desired.

Configure the Time Offset in minutes.

Select the required Type of the manual DST for the selected Region: Day-Month Wise or Date-Month
Wise .
