Wired Equivalence Privacy (WEP) is the basic encryption method and is therefore least secured and
easy to crack.
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is a better security mode compared to WEP. WPA provides much better
protection with easy-to-use dynamic keys.
WPA2 is the most secured and stronger encryption method among all the three.
When you want Wi-Fi devices to connect with NAVAN without any security and authentication, select
None
.
If you select WEP, configure the following:
•
Select the
Authentication Type
. You can either select
Open
or
Shared Key
.
If you select
Open
, the Access Point encrypts the packets using WEP key authentication, the client
decrypts the data but the password is not shared in the media.
If you select
Shared Key,
the WEP key is shared in the media, compared or authenticated and then
used.
