8. Connect the power cord to the back of the GTXI system
platform and plug it in. See Figure 2-1and Figure 2-2 for the
location of the power connection.
9. Turn on the GTXI-700 platform Main and Auxiliary switches.
10. Turn on the host computer and wait for the boot sequence to
complete.
11. Insert the GTXI configuration diskette provided into the floppy
drive on the host PC.
12. Run the Setup program (SETUP.EXE) on the GTXI
configuration diskette. This will edit the host computer’s
AUTOEXEC.BAT file and install a special GTXI utility
program called “GTXICFG.EXE.” This utility is used to assign
resources to and from the host PC and the GTXI platform.
Refer to Chapters 3 and 4 for further instructions.
13. To change and apply that configuration run the GTXICFG
utility, make the desired changes and save. Then apply the
changes using the Apply button.
14. The host system is now ready for use. See “Power-on
Sequence” later in this chapter for further instructions.
