Chapter 3 - Installing Instrument Boards

9. Replace the airplate top cover. Do not completely tighten any

one screw until all screws are inserted. Tighten the screws on
the GTPC.

10. Reinstall the GTPC unit into the GTXI platform.

11. Reattach the cables and.

12. Turn the power ON.

13. Run the GTXI-Config program and set the address and other

resources as needed. Make sure the resources for the new PC
board are not in use by any board on the platform external to
the GTPC, excluding offsets. If the base address is being used
on the platform, it will conflict even though it may have an
offset. See

Chapter 4 “Assigning Resources”

for more

information.

Installing PC Boards on the GT7700 System
Controller Module

The GT7700 System Controller Module features one spare ISA slot,
one spare PCI slot, and one shared (either PCI or ISA) slot. The use
of these slots is supported as a factory installation only.

Note:

Use extreme caution when removing and installing the

CPU module. Irreversible damage may occur if the CPU
module is installed improperly.
