Central lubrication system for the drive chains of the conveyor unit and pick-up
TRD00069

Figure 227
With each lifting of the pick-up, the main drive chains and the pick-up drive chains are supplied
automatically with lubricating oil. For this reason, the pick-up can be lifted several times for
lubrication purposes in case of a higher oil demand.
End brushes at the lubrication points distribute the lubricanting oil evenly on the roller chains.
Observe the oil level in the oil reservoir on the front wall and refill in due time.
Should the central chain lubrication system not function, after the oil reservoir was completely
empty, the lubricating feed mechanism (1) must be vented.
Venting of the lubricating feed mechanism must be done with the pick-up lowered, i.e. with a
depressurised pick-up hydraulic line. To do this, screw off one lubrication line from the
lubricating feed mechanism (1) and loosen the threaded socket (2) until the lubricating oil is
emerging without bubbles.
Note
Carefully capture and reuse the lubricating oil that escapes.
The piston chamber is vented in this way. Then, screw the threaded socket (2) and the
lubrication line in place again.
Note
It must absolutely be ensured that no water or dust can enter the tank (1). Use recommended
oils only.
The viscosity should be similar to 15W40. Only biodegradable and non-toxic oils should be
used (for example, Fuchs Mineral Oil Plantogear 100 - N or Castrol Optimol Optileb GT 100).
Do not use adhesive oils for chains since these would get stuck inside the system!
