Image Unit Components

Optical Unit

[1] Energize the LASER PRINTER.

[2] Press the MAGAZINE DOOR OPEN/CLOSE

SWITCH.

[3] Open the RECEIVE MAGAZINE DOOR.

[4] Pull down the LATCH and open the USER

ACCESS DOOR.

Warning

• Dangerous Voltage.

• Possible damage to eyes from invisible laser beam. Wear protective eyewear.

• Do not wear jewelry.

[5] De-energize the LASER PRINTER.

[6] Remove the BACK IMAGE UNIT COVER. If necessary, see the procedure on Page 2–3.

[7] Remove the TOP COVER. If necessary, see the procedure on Page 2–5.

[8] Disconnect J430.

[9] Loosen the 5 SCREWS to remove the LASER

DIODE CONTROL BOARD COVER.
