[8] Loosen the 2 REGISTRATION PLATE SCREWS.
[9] Rotate the REGISTRATION PLATE upward.
[10] Install the 2 REGISTRATION PLATE SCREWS removed in Step 8 to hold the REGISTRATION PLATE in
the up position.
[11] Disconnect the SLOW SCAN MOTOR CONNECTOR.
[12] Disconnect the ENCODER CABLE from the SLOW SCAN DRIVER BOARD. Remove the WIRE TIES if
necessary.
[13] Remove the 4 SCREWS.
[14] Lift and hold the PINCH ROLLER away from the SLOW SCAN ROLLER.
[15] Lift and pull out the ENCODER ASSEMBLY.
