CT-650 Command-Line Reference Guide

Release 9.4

The signal flow used for splitting circuits The available values
depend on the type of circuit and how it was split with the
split_mode parameter.

–

Test_Code

Transmits a test code signal (1C hex) from the

RTU. The split completely severs the continuity of the line.

–

Local_Loopback

Loops the received signal from the RTU

receiver to the RTU transmitter; the RTU is configured in a test
loopback (TLB) mode. The TLB enables the RTU to inject errors
into the signal. The DS0 split completely severs the continuity of
the line and loops each side of the TAP.

–

Idle_Code(1111)

Transmits a framed idle signal from the

RTU.

Transparent

Loops the received signal from the RTU receiver

to the RTU transmitter; the RTU is configured in a test loopback
(TLB) mode.

The format of the loop code signal:

DS1

Selects the DS1 loop codes to be transmitted in the

selected DS1 channel within the DS3 signal. To issue a DS1
FEAC loop code, set the

ting a VF circuit. Type two digits for SF framing, or four digits for
ESF framing.

Slot in which the RTU is installed. The typical range for slot num-
bers is 1–15 for the 650 and 1–6 for the 650-S.
