Parameter listing

CT-650 Command-Line Reference Guide

Defines the type of test to perform when using a measure com-
mand on a DS0 circuit. For VF circuits, possible values are as fol-
lows:

–

Freq_&_Level

Measures received tone frequencies, DC

power level, and RMS receive level.

–

Signaling <dialing_format>

Monitors call origination

and termination sequences for the selected voice channel. The
VF Signaling Monitor results screen indicates the last received
signaling bits on both sides of the line and the current signaling
events.

–

Dial_Pulse

Monitor for dial pulses.

–

DTMF

Monitor for Dual Tone Multifrequency digit type.

–

Multi_Freq

Monitor for Multifrequency digit type.

For DDS circuits, possible values are as follows:

–

Straightaway

Transmits selected pattern over indicated side

without affecting intermediate terminals (for example, CSUs,
DSUs, OCUs, and multiplexers). Configures DTU for an end-to-
end test which requires a compatible test instrument at the far
end.

–

Loopback_Alternating

Transmits selected pattern over

indicated side with alternating loopback codes embedded in the
test pattern to provide a loopback of the circuit at one of these
devices:

DSU

Generates DS0A alternating Data Service Unit loop

code.

›

OCU

Generates DS0A alternating Office Channel Unit loop

code.

›

CSU/Repeater <0-8_rptrs>

Generates DS0A

alternating Channel Service Unit loop code with appropriate
repeater bypass from 0 (for no repeaters) to 8. This loop
code loops CSUs or Repeaters.

Sets threshold difference of 2 dB, 4 dB, or 6 dB. Default is 2 dB.

The tone frequency, from 20 Hz to 3904 Hz.

The tone level, from 0 dBm to -40 dBm.

The duration of the tone, from 10 to 8000 ms, in increments of 10
ms.

tone_time_period

The duration of the tone, from 10 to 8000 ms, in increments of 10
ms.
