Configure DCS

Configure DCS

Configures the interfaces between the CT-650 and the DCS. You can
change the following parameters:

Parameter

Description

DCS Number

Number identifying the DCS.

System Name

Name assigned to the DCS or RTU.

DCS Type

The type of DCS: 3/3, 3/1, 1/0, etc.

DCS Model (Lang)

Model of DCS. The available models depend on the selected DCS type
and installed features.

Protocol/SW Flow

Protocol and flow control appropriate for the DCS type and model.

Test Port Type

Test port type supported by the DCS.

Testhead Hostname

The host name for the CT-650 on the network. If the host name identifies
the CT-650 connected to the DCS control port, the remaining parame-
ters in this screen configure the TTY port connected to the DCS. If the
hostname identifies another CT-650, the local CT-650 gains access to
the DCS control port through the indicated CT-650. If

appears, the

CT-650 is not connected to a network.

Transport Type

Network transport protocol: RS232, IP, X.25, etc.

TTY Number

Old processor module—Number of TTY communication port: 2–11 for
the CT-650, or 2–7 for the CT-650s.

New processor module—Number of TTY communication port: 2–5 for
the CT-650, or 2–5 for the CT-650s.
