The duration for injecting errors.
–
Burst
Injects a single burst of errors (Bit or BPV) for the speci-
fied duration and error rate defined by the last
Error_Rate
command. The burst duration can be set from 50 to 5000 milli-
seconds (0.05 to 5 seconds) in 50 milliseconds steps, with a
default of 500 ms.

Continuous
Injects the specified errors (Bit, BPV, or Frame)
continuously at the specified error rate (
Error_Rate
com-
mand). Press
Ctrl+I
to halt the inserted errors from the Test
Results screen.

Single
Injects a single specified error (Bit or BPV). Press
Ctrl+I
to inject single bit errors from the report screens.

Off
Disable the injected errors.

1_Error
to
6_Errors
Injects one frame error into an M-frame
either singly or continuously.
The available durations depends on the type of circuit and error you
are injecting.
The type of circuit to be tested:
DS3
,
DS1/VT1.5

FT1
,
DDS
, or
VF
.
A name assigned to a test. You can use up to 11 characters from
the set A–Z, a–z, 0–9, and you can also use the underscore. If you
don’t specify a
test_name
in the command, the CT-650 assigns a
test name (such as TST0 or TST1).
A test pattern injected into a circuit.
describes test pat-
terns available for various circuits. You can also define test parame-
ters using the
User_Pattern
command.
A family of test patterns. Typical values include
PRBS
and
Pattern_Sensitive
.
