Frame

The following fields appear in the Frame category of the DS3 test 
results screens.

Ratio of frame errors to received framing bits since ini-
tially acquiring frame synchronization.

Ratio of frame errors to the total number of received 
framing bits while DS3 frame synchronization is 
present.

Number of seconds during which one or more frame 
errors occurred since initial frame synchronization.

Frame % EFS

Ratio of error-free seconds, expressed as a percent-
age, during which no frame errors were detected to 
the total number of seconds that DS3 frame synchro-
nization is present.

Number of seconds during which the frame error rate
