Description of VF test commands

Remarks

– This command is available if the Signaling/VF Option is installed.

Hangup

Releases a connection established with the

Dial_Out

command.

Syntax

Hangup <

digroup_side

Remarks

– This command appears after attempting a call or connection.

– This command is available if the Signaling Option is installed, and

applies only to drop and insert mode.

Listen

Enables the RTU to call a telephone number and establish a connec-
tion. This feature enables you to remotely listen to a VF circuit.

Syntax

Listen <

Remarks

– This command is available only after executing a

DI_Monitor

command.

– An RTU performing TAD testing can listen to one source at a time.

– An RTU performing drop and insert testing can listen to one

source, and each source must be wired to make separate calls.
Therefore, you can listen to either RTU with one phone, or both
RTUs on two phones.

Loopback

Transmits loop-up and loop-down tones on the chosen side of the
circuit.
