you can perform a software update without discon

necting and reconnecting the supply voltage of the device.
Prerequisite:
You first have to install the update program as described in chapter 11 on page
74.
With some PCs the procedure described below does not work. You can then always
start an update without using HyperTerminal within the first 10 seconds after
switching on the antenna with the described flash program.
To carry out a software update, proceed as follows:
Close the COM port in HyperTerminal if it is still open.
Open the Flash program.
In the flash program, select the COM port with which the antenna is currently
connected to your PC.
Choose the HEX file you want to program.
Now go back to HyperTerminal and open the COM-Port.
Then press the key

A notice appears.
Within the next 20 seconds, close the COM port in HyperTerminal by clicking
the icon
and start the programming in the flash program.
The software update is carried out
When the software update is completed:
Switch back to HyperTerminal.
Wait 10 seconds and then re-connect HyperTerminal to the COM port (e.g. by
using the icon
).
Start the monitor program again (see 10.1 „Starting the Monitor Program“ on
page 48).
