Chapter 10 Periodic Maintenance

Ground Continuity Testing - Generic Procedure

Follow these steps to test the Ground wire resistance:

1.) Turn the Vivid 3N unit OFF.

2.) Connect one of the Ohmmeter probes to the tested AC wall outlet (Ground pin).

3.) Using the other Ohmmeter probe, touch the exposed metal part of the Vivid 3N unit.

4) Set the meter 

Function

 switch to the 

Resistance

 position.

5) Measure and record the Ground wire resistance.

 

This should be less than 0.2 Ohms.
