The object 

synchronisation_filter_time

 sets the filter time constant of a PT1 filter, with 

which the synchronisation speed is smoothed. This can be necessary especially at low 
resolutions, since small changes of the input value already correspond to high speeds.  
On the other hand, the drive at high filter times may no longer be able to follow a dynamic 
input signal quickly enough.
