Close the middle spraying section (n) (Fig.
183) once the binder pump pressure gauge (d)
(Fig. 184) and the spraying bar pressure
gauge (a) show increasing pressure.
Starting work

Set the selector switch for spraying/circulation
(k) (Fig. 185) to position "Circulation".

Preselect the sections on the spraying bar (n).
l
Set the binder quantity potentiometer (m) to
medium flow.
l
Start milling.
l
Set the selector switch for spraying/circulation
(k) to position "Spraying".
l
If necessary regulate the medium flow with the
binder quantity potentiometer (m)..
Interrupting work
l
Set the selector switch for spraying/circulation
(k) to position "Circulation".
All nozzles of the opened sections are closed.
i Note
For longer breaks set the binder pump to a lower
flow rate, to keep the binder circulating.
Changing the binder
!
Danger
If you want to change to hot bitumen, the spray
bar needs to be completely emptied before-
hand.
The water proportion in the emulsion will oth-
erwise evaporate and cause a tremendous
pressure increase in the system, which may
damage the system and injure persons!

Completely drain the bitumen system, see
chapter "Blowing out bitumen system and
spray bar".
