7.4 Air conditioning system
faulty
Faults Possible cause Remedy
System does
not work Electric connections loose Check the switch in the dash board
Relay defective Check the relay in the control panel
Fuse defective Replace the fuse, check the function of
the blower switch
System does
not work Overpressure Check, whether the ring ventilators are
running, clean the condenser fins
System works,
switches off Overpressure because of high ambient
temperatures Run the system until the pressure has sta-
bilized
System does
not work Vacuum, drier clogged Replace the drier, only by a refrigeration
expert
Vacuum, screen of expansion valve
clogged Clean the screen on the expansion valve,
replace if necessary, only be a refrigera-
tion expert
Leaks in the system, refrigerant level too
low Check the system for leaks, top up refrig-
erant, only by a refrigeration expert
Excessive noise
from compres-
sor Ball bearing on compressor failed Replace ball bearing or compressor, only
by a refrigeration expert
