6.39 Draining the fuel tank

Danger
Fire hazard!
When working on the fuel system do not use
open fire, do not smoke, do not spill any fuel.
Catch running out fuel, do not let it seep into
the ground.
Do not inhale any fuel fumes.

Unscrew the drain plug 1 (Fig. 283) from the
bottom of the fuel tank and drain off approx. 5
litres of fuel.

After draining the fuel off screw the drain plug
back in with a new seal ring.
6.40 Oil change in rotor gearbox,
check rotor water level

Danger
Life hazard!
Do not lift and support the rotor hood with a
jack or similar.
When working on the rotor keep all persons
out of the cabin or off the operator's platform.

Danger of scalding!
When draining off hot oil.
!
Caution
Drain oil only at operating temperature.
Change the oil either after operation or run the
rotor for 1/2 hour with full speed.
Change the oil in both rotor drives right and
left!
Make sure to fill in the exact quantity!
For quality and quantity of oil refer to the "table
of fuels and lubricants".
Environment
Catch running out oil and dispose of environ-
mentally.

Start the engine and run it at idle speed.
