6.48 Oil change in front travel

Caution
Drain oil only at operating temperature.
Change the oil in both travel gears.
For quality and quantity of oil refer to the "table
of fuels and lubricants".
Environment
Catch running out oil and dispose of environ-
mentally.

Drive the machine, until the drain plug (2) (Fig.
319) is at the deepest point.

Clean and unscrew filler and level control plug
(1).
l
Clean and unscrew drain plug (2).
l
Drain and catch all oil.
l
Once all oil has run out clean drain plug (2)
and screw it back in.

Fill in oil, until it reaches the bottom edge of the
bore (Fig. 320) .
l
Clean the oil filler and inspection plug and
screw it back in tightly.
