6.71 Change the tires
!
Danger
Danger of accident!
Observe all safety regulations for the lifting of
loads.
Do not lift the machine by the front towing eye.
Do not lift or jack the machine up by the artic-
ulated joint.
Consider the weight of the wheel.
Use jack with a load bearing capacity of at
least 10t (front) and 5 t (rear) and lift lift one-
sidedly.

Tire pressure see section "Check tire pressure".

Apply jack on one side and slightly lift ma-
chine.
l
Unscrew the wheel nuts and take the wheel
off.

Attach the new wheel with the arrow profile in
travel direction (Fig. 377) .

Tighten the wheel nuts cross-wise
Tightening torques:
l
front: 463 Nm
l
rear: 500 Nm
Setting the tire type
!
Caution
If the tire size is changed, the new tire type
must be reset in the control system as the trav-
el speed depends on it.

Fold down central electrics flap (Fig. 378) .

Enter code 6 9 0 in order to activate the function
“Setting the tire type”:
l
Press both keys (F1 and F2) (Fig. 379) on the
instrument cluster for 2 seconds until the first
code digit flashes
l
Repeatedly press F1 until the number 6 ap-
pears.
l
Confirm with F2.
The second code digit flashes.
