6.27 Checking the oil level in the
front right/left hand travel
gear

Caution
Check the oil level in both travel gears.

Drive the machine, until the drain plug (2) (Fig.
262) is at the deepest point.
l
Clean and unscrew filler and level control plug
(1).
l
Check the oil level. The oil level must reach the
bottom edge of the bore, top up oil if neces-
sary.
For quality and quantity of oil refer to the "table
of fuels and lubricants".
l
Clean the oil filler and inspection plug and
screw it back in tightly.

Clean the oil level inspection and filler plug
(Fig. 263) and unscrew it.
l
The oil level should reach the bottom edge of
the bore, if necessary fill up oil through this
opening.
For quality and quantity of oil refer to the "table
of fuels and lubricants".
l
Screw oil level inspection and filler plug back
in tightly.
