Menu 5.2.1:
Auditory Scanning Controls
The
Auditory Scanning Controls
menu can be accessed from the
Scanning
Controls
menu. This menu provides you with tools for customizing the
auditory prompts when you are using scanning as a selection method.
Tip:
For more information on customizing auditory feedback, refer to
the
Scanning Operations
steps-by-steps in this manual.
OK (Alt +O).
Selecting the
OK
button accepts any changes you’ve made,
closes the
Auditory Scanning Controls
menu and returns you to the
Scanning Controls
menu.
Cancel (Alt + C).
Selecting the
Cancel
button closes the
Auditory Scanning
Controls
menu and returns you to the
Selection Methods
menu without saving
any new changes.
Rate (Alt +R).
You can use the
Rate
slider to adjust the speed at which
auditory prompts are spoken. Using the arrow keys on your DynaWrite
keyboard, move the slider up to slow the speaking rate, and down to speed
it up.
Volume (Alt + V).
You can use the
Volume
slider to adjust the volume at
which auditory prompts are spoken. Using the arrow keys on your
DynaWrite keyboard, move the slider up to increase the volume, and down
to decrease it.
