Menu 1.7:
ECU
The
ECU
menu includes tools for applying the infrared (IR) environmental
control features of your DynaWrite device. When your DynaWrite is
functioning as an environmental control unit (ECU), you can use it as part of
an X-10 infrared system or as a remote control for commercial appliances
such as televisions and compact disc players.
You can also reach the
ECU
menu by simultaneously selecting the
BeKey/ECU
key and the
Fn
(Function) key on your DynaWrite keyboard.
Tip:
For more information on creating new ECU commands and
teaching them to your device, refer to the
Environmental
Control Operations
step-by-steps in this manual. This section
also contains step-by-steps for deleting, renaming and invoking
ECU commands.
Available commands (Alt + A).
The
Available commands
list box contains
a directory of commands that your DynaWrite device has learned to perform.
Once the list box is selected, you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard
to scroll through the list and highlight items.
New (Alt + N).
Selecting this button opens a window with a text field
where you may enter a new command. Once you have typed in the new
entry, you may select
OK
(Alt + O) to accept it or
Cancel
(Alt + C) to return
to the
ECU Browser
window without saving the new name.
